Simpson Academy has announced the return of Adam Evans as Head Baseball Coach, bringing a familiar face and a proven winner back to the Cougar dugout.

Coach Evans previously led the Cougar baseball program from 2013 to 2020 and returns with more than 16 years of coaching experience. During his coaching career, Evans has guided teams to seven state championship appearances, captured multiple state titles, and earned numerous Coach of the Year honors.

Athletic Director Drew Lane said Evans is the right person to lead the program into the future.

“Coach Evans embodies the values that make Simpson Academy special,” Lane said. “His passion for our students, commitment to excellence, and proven ability to build successful programs make him the ideal leader for Cougar Baseball.”

Headmaster John Shows echoed those sentiments, noting the school’s desire to continue raising the standard of excellence in athletics.

In addition to his success on the field, Evans has played a key role in improving athletic facilities at Simpson Academy, helping bring major upgrades including the school’s turf baseball field and indoor training facilities.

For Evans, the opportunity is a homecoming.

“Simpson Academy is home for me and my family,” he said. “My goal is to build on the strong foundation already in place, continue developing young men of character, and pursue excellence in every aspect of the program.”

With a championship pedigree and a deep connection to the school, Coach Evans returns with the support of the Cougar family and a vision for continued success. Cougar fans will be eager to see what the next chapter holds for Simpson Academy baseball.
