The “word” I am getting is that the voter turnout in Simpson County is great! The numbers at each poll have been up! If you are standing in line at 7 PM you will be allowed to vote. Don’t forget a photo ID! MageeNews.com will be live streaming from the Simpson County Courthouse with election returns. We will begin around 7:30. Watch the live stream on the home page of MageeNews.com in the featured video spot. (At approximately 1:15 over 400 people had voted at the Magee Community House—no lines)
Don’t miss the article under City News on Skimmers. Skimmers are placed in gas pumps and steal info from your credit/debit card. I learned today, scammers can just pull into the parking lot and interfere with cards through blue tooth on their phone. Scary! Keep a check on balances on all your cards.
The new Lee’s Doughnuts is coming on up! The doughnut shop is located next to the original store…on the road leading from Main Street to highway 49.
Don’t forget BB’s Fashion Show, the senior project of Shelby Carrico. The tickets are $10. The show will be held at the home of Skip and Tracy Russell on Hummingbird Road in old Magee Saturday night!
Wednesday night at 6 PM, the First Baptist Church of Magee will host the showing of “The Insanity of God.” The movie features missionaries Nik and Ruth Ripken and tells of their journey deep into the persecuted church asking the question…Is Jesus Worth It. Don’t miss this special free event. Everyone is invited!
Career Day is Wednesday at the Simpson County Tech Center.
Anyone desiring a copy of the November Compassionate Friends Newsletter (for people who have lost a child), just send me an email and I will email one to you. (Sue@mageenews.com)
Congratulations to Bayleigh Prater the newest member of the SCA ACT 25 Club! WOW
Don’t forget the Veteran’s Day Parade is Thursday. Lineup is in front of the Methodist Church. The parade route includes the school block and a section of Main Street. Every veteran is invited to ride and participate in the planned activities. The parade begins at 10:15 and the Ceremony Recognition Service at 11 on the Magee Community House lawn. And again…go VOTE!!!
