The Scriptural passage chosen for today is found in Proverbs 4:25-26: “Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm.” The Word of God for the people of God; thanks be to God. Solomon was, indeed, wise and asked God for wisdom. He ruled wisely and attributed everything to God, his Maker. Let’s remember a similar verse which admonishes us: “In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct thy paths.” The great King Solomon did it. We should strive to do no less. Maintaining a strong prayer life, however, is essential in seeking God’s will and plan for our lives. Draw near to Him, and He’ll draw near to you. I’ll close with the chorus of the gospel song “Lift Me Up above the Shadows”: “Lift me up above the shadows. Lord, lift me up and let me stand. On the mountaintops of Glory, let me dwell in Beulah Land.” Amen!
