The Scriptural passage selected for today is found in John 14:6: “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'” The Word of God for the people of God; thanks be to God. If anyone preaches alternative means of attaining eternal life, this is the very verse to remember. Christ knew that some were proclaiming other avenues to take in pleasing God. Jesus, God’s own Son, however, countered those heretics by stating emphatically that there is only one way, and that is through Him and only through Him. So, align yourself with Jesus if you wish to please and ultimately see God. As the old gospel song puts it, “Jesus said it; I believe it; and it’s so.” Amen!
