Horace M. Amason, 62, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 in Jackson, Ms.
Funeral services will be held at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee Monday, February 23, 2015, at 2:00pm with visitation beginning at 10:00am. Burial will follow services in Sullivan Cemetery in Mize.
Mr. Amason was an avid competitive bench rest shooter and gun smith.
He is survived by his wife, Freda Amason; son, Kevin Amason (Krista); grandsons, Trevor and Trenton Amason; mother, Jean Amason and sister, Miriam Cain (Tommy).
Mr. Amason is preceded in death by his father, Horace Glen Amason.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Lee Stewart, Randy Berry, Bill Korlath, Rick Shouse, Joel Cain and Doug Blake.
Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Magee is in charge of final arrangements.
