The Scriptural passage for today is found in Romans 5:5: “Hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.” Hope is essential for the Christian, because the BIBLE tells us that without hope we are, of all people, most miserable. What if we had no hope beyond this earthly existence? Christ birth, death, and resurrection would have been for naught. We, however, know that through God’s great love and the sacrifice of His only Son, we who accept His wonderful gift of salvation have hope for eternal life with Him. Amen!
