After much prayer and careful consideration, I am excited to announce my candidacy for Representative of MS House District 77 in Simpson and Rankin Counties. As a father and owner of several businesses, including a cattle farm, I have much vested in seeing that our district prospers on all levels.

My wife, Lyndsey, who is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and I have been married over 14 years and have five sons, including a set of twin boys that are our foster children. We attend Hope Fellowship Church in Brandon, where we help lead the young adult ministry.
I was raised in Puckett, where I graduated Valedictorian from Puckett High School in 1997. I attended Mississippi College and earned my undergraduate degree in Christian Studies and Philosophy and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education. With a desire to have an impact in young people’s lives, I taught in the public schools for 8 years. In 2011, I went into business for myself opening Clear Creek Fitness, a 24/7 fitness center, and Patrick’s Produce, a fruitstand/country store in Puckett. The fruitstand grew to include catering, and for a couple of years offered daily lunches. After the recent sale of my gym, it has freed me back up to do more in real estate and restoring old homes.

Over the last 7 years, I have enjoyed firsthand experiences of working with our local government as an alderman. There are currently many challenges that our district and state government are facing. Those issues will be changing as the needs arise, but what will be unwavering is my belief in a strong work ethic and character, my reliance and hope in a God that loves the people of Mississippi, my quest in making state government competent stewards of our tax dollars while upholding our civil liberties, and my desire to see all the towns and communities of District 77 effectively represented.
