What a wonderful weekend even though the rain has slowed some activities to almost a halt! A day to honor our precious mothers. I cannot explain how blessed I was to have my mother, Mary Ruth Horn Dickey. She was an outstanding lady who loved life, her church, her family, and her friends! My mother was a “go-getter!” She met any obstacle that came into her life. My daddy died when my mother was 55. She continued to operate a business as well as take care of her mother. I miss my mama…just like we all do. I wonder sometimes if we as mothers realize the impact we have on our children’s lives?
My sons are so precious! They are my rocks and keep me grounded! They are supportive of all my crazy plans. They are here when I need them…and they love their mama and I know it!
Sweet Debbie Blair, my friend, brought me the prettiest lily on Friday. She said I was the closest thing to a mother after her mother died. Wow, talk about feeling special. Debbie and I have been friends for years!
Tell all the mothers in your life how special they are! When I look back at my younger years, I realized how blessed I was to have so many mamas!
Enjoy your day!
