( October 27, 1940 – June 10, 2023 )

Hal L. Thompson, 82 of Magee, MS passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Magee. He was born Sunday, October 27, 1940 in Simpson County, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee.  Burial will follow in Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, MS. Bro. Gary Phillips, Bro. Donnie Guy, and Dr. Billy Stewart will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031.

Survivors include his son, Ricky  Thompson (Lenaee); daughters, Cyndi  Thompson, Sandra  Kennedy  (Ronny) and Renee  Grantham  (Randy);  grandchildren, Ashia  Good  (Ben), Keshia  Coulter  (Thomas), Joshua  Arnold, Shawn  Gray  (Madelyn), Brittany  Rankin  (John), Lauren  Grantham  (Marshall), Aaron Grantham (Melissa), and April Holifield (Bryan); sister, Linda  Thompson  Stewart;  great grandchildren, Austin  Good, Bennett  Good, Bayleigh  Kennedy, Allison  Kennedy, Carter  McCaffery, Addison  McCaffery, Mary Kaidyn  Gray, Scarlet Gray, Ayden  Waldrop, Bryson  Waldrop, Kynleigh Waldrop, Gracee Rankin, Rylee Rankin, Zoee Rankin, and Maddee Rankin and Haleigh Coulter; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be John Rankin, Ben Good, Josh Arnold, Shawn Gray, Dusty Rice, Thomas Coulter, and Marshall Lassiter.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ayden Waldrop, Bryson Waldrop, Bennett Good, and Carter McCaffery.
