House Speaker Philip Gunn and Speaker Pro Tempore Jason White on Tuesday morning, Oct. 6, filed a Response in opposition to the Governor’s Oct. 5 motion for stay. The pleading was filed before the Mississippi Supreme Court in the appeal of Gov. Tate Reeves v. Rep. Philip Gunn and Rep. Jason White, cause number 2020-TS-1107.

The Office of the Attorney General, representing Gov. Tate Reeves, this afternoon, Oct. 5, filed an Emergency Motion for Stay Pending Appeal before the Mississippi Supreme Court. Here is a link to the motion:
