mageebaseballseniorsMagee High School Baseball is facing growing pains this year.  The Trojans are a young team. There are 3 seniors, 2 Juniors, 4 magee-baseball-juniorsMAgeebaseballsophmoresSophomores, mageebaseballfreshmanand the remaining 9 players are Freshman that make up the team.
The team is hoping to gain experience and began to mature as district play gets started. These young men will learn a lot and gain experience. Give them time and they will really show out in the future.
Remember you must crawl before you can walk.
According to Eubanks the youth and inexperience of our team is showing defensively because we have the “deer in the headlights” look when things go wrong. The routine plays are not being made and it makes for long innings. We are hitting but not getting the big hits. We have got to do a better job of hitting with runners on base. We are lacking speed so we got to be able to make adjustments at the plate and hit the ball gap-to-gap. Our focus has got to get better and play like we are capable of playing.
