The Scriptural passage for today is found in Ephesians 1:7: “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” What does it mean to be redeemed? Well, in layman’s terms, there’s a setting free from chains that bind, from sure-and-certain punishment. Without the shedding of blood, there can be no forgiveness of sins, as the BIBLE tells us. Jesus Christ came to earth, lived, and gave His life so that we might have ultimate forgiveness and redemption through the shedding of His precious blood. God’s grace, His unmerited favor, has provided this for us and offers it freely to those who will believe, repent, and accept His gift of salvation. Why do you wait, dear brother, dear sister? Why do you tarry so long? Today is the day of salvation! Amen!
