Dear Friends and Neighbors,

After much prayer and careful consideration, I am excited to announce my candidacy for the office of Simpson County Chancery Court Clerk in the upcoming November election. For those who may not know me, I would like to introduce myself and humbly ask for your vote.

I am a fifth generation Simpson County farmer.  I am the oldest son of Bro. Michael and Ellen Womack Giles.  My grandparents are the late James and Polly White Giles, and Eugene “Cuz” and Nannie  Bell “Red” Womack.

The majority of my life has been spent on a farm between Magee and Mendenhall in the Oak Grove community.  I was homeschooled.  I attended Co-Lin’s Simpson County Center for my associate’s degree.  My Bachelor’s degree is from Mississippi College. I graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree from Mississippi College School of Law. Upon graduating in 2016, I passed the State Bar Exam and have been a licensed attorney for six years.

Having practiced in numerous Chancery Courts, I know our Chancery Clerk’s office leads the State in efficiency and professionalism. If elected, I will strive to keep it on the forefront of technological proficiency all the while providing courteous, personal service to its patrons. I promise to work diligently to SERVE YOU with honesty and integrity.

I believe I have the experience and qualifications to do the job well, and I see this as an opportunity to give back to my community. Simpson County is my home, and my desire is for our county to grow and prosper and its people to flourish. I am looking forward to meeting you personally, as I campaign across the county.

Closing with a sincere “THANK YOU”!

Clayton Giles
