George Charles “Chuck” Bond, 63, of Brandon, Mississippi, passed from this life Friday December 27, 2019 at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was born Friday, October 26, 1956.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 29, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home Mendenhall. The Burial will follow in Popular Springs Baptist Church cemetery. Bro Cecil Fayard will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. (601) 847-4401

Chuck was a devout Christian, a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and a friend to many.

He was an officer in the Sons of Confederate Veterans, member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Mechanized Cavalry and an officer in the Military Order of Stars and Bars. He had a passion for history and a great love for the State of Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by parents, George and Ruth Bond.

Survivors include wife of 40 years Cindy Bond, daughter, Suzi White and husband Barrett, son, George Conor Bond, grandson, Cody White, sister-in-law Jan Gunn, uncle Rev. Joe K. Hill and wife Joann and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Greg Stewart, Billy Bryant, Tom Strain, Cody White, Jeffery Gunn, Jeff Barnes, and Jim Huffman.

The family would like to thank the Cancer Center at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit staff also at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mississippi Division Sons of Confederate Veterans, 108 County Road 5131, Booneville, MS  38829.
