Gayla Gwen Alexander Moore, formerly from Mize, MS, passed from this life in Heber Springs, AR, on March 8, 2024. She is the daughter of Mae Ellen Wells Alexander and Jesse Junior Alexander.
Gayla graduated from R.H. Watkins HS in Laurel, MS, studied at University of Southern MS and North Georgia College in Dahlonega, GA for her Special Education Degree and her Master’s Degree. Teaching and helping special needs people advance in life was her passion, and she had remarkable success, touching so many lives during her career.
Preceded in death by her parents, Gayla’s leaves her husband, Harold Bowman (Bo) Moore, of Heber Springs, AR and their forty-three years of marriage; her sister, Vicky Alexander Gazaway; nieces Jessy and Logan Gazaway; Aunts Edwina King and Ellen Stevens; cousins close as siblings; and dear friends.
