Seeking to increase the involvement of families and organizations in the county in history awareness, the Simpson County Historical Society is offering free scans of historic family photographs and documents during the celebration of Mendenhall in May.
The free scanning service includes five (5) scans and a free thumb drive containing the scans.
WHEN: Mendenhall in May, May 18, 2019
Beginning at 9:00 a.m.
WHERE: SCH&GS Booth in front of
Joe White’s Picket Fence Books
Families are encouraged to bring a short family history – up to one page – to accompany their photo or document.
Families and organizations are asked to please assign one individual to be responsible for the item(s) submitted for scanning and to accompany the item(s) during the scanning.
Items will be handled with much care according to preservation protocols.
