( April 30, 1933 – March 23, 2020 )

 Frances Patricia (Pat) Walker Gilliam was born April 30, 1933 in Braxton, MS to Frank Walker and Louise Jones Valentine. She went home to be with her Lord on March 23, 2020. Pat graduated from D’lo High School and attended Copiah-Lincoln Community College. She met the love of her life Kent Gilliam through a mutual friend and they married February 18, 1955. They were married for 60 wonderful years. Pat worked for First National Bank in Jackson until she retired to care for her family which grew to include her children Dwayne and Dianne. She loved to cross-stitch and sew. She also made the best fudge cake ever.  Pat loved Jesus and was a faithful member of D’Lo Baptist Church.

Pat is preceded in death by her loving husband, Kent Gilliam; parents, Frank Walker, Louise and Kenny Valentine; siblings, Frank (Sonny) and Billie Walker, Betty and Norman Olney, Sarah and Bill Warren, and Ann Welter; and grandson, Austin Smith.

Pat is survived by her children Dwayne and Marilyn Gilliam, Jim and Dianne McWilliams, Dr. Tommy and Polly Myrick; grandchildren Christopher and Kimberly Silverman, Cheyenne Gilliam, Tyler & Courtny Ortmann, Joshua and Tiffani Myrick; great-grandchildren Presleigh, Trace and Dax Ortmann and sister and brother in law Elaine and Billy Sanders. A private visitation will be held from 8:00 AM until 8: 45 AM on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. A private graveside service will be held at 9:00 AM on Thursday, March 26,2020 at D’lo City Cemetery.
