The Scriptural passage for today is found in Psalm 84:11: “For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” In this verse, we find the psalmist proclaiming God as his protector. He knows God favors and honors His children who are obedient to Him. God’s powers are limitless, and the psalmist knows this personally, because he has often been the recipient of God’s boundless grace and favor. We, too, as followers of Christ, will likewise find grace, favor, and protection when we strive to please Him. Obedience is key. As we go about our day, let’s be all about reflecting God’s love, joy, and kindness with all with whom we come in contact.
