Simpson County School District has confirmed a football player at Magee High School has tested positive for COVID-19. As a precautionary and requirement of the Mississippi State Department of Health all football players, coaches, and cheerleaders must quarantine for 14 days. Simpson County School District has notified Collins High School of the situation with the player. All personnel involved have been notified.
Magee will not play Friday night against Natchez nor at this time will they play the Simpson County Super Bowl against Mendenhall.
The team will be ready for play as they enter district games.
A great job was done by the district office in acting fast and keeping the spread of the virus from other students and faculty.
