Fireworks Scheduled for July 4th

Fireworks will be on display July 4th at the Sportsplex in Magee. The event will begin at dusk around 8:45 p.m. according to Mayor Dale Berry.  Mayor Berry announced the fireworks show  during the Magee Board of Alderman meeting Tuesday, June 18, 2019.

Mayor Dale Berry advised during  fireworks would be allowed June 20-July 11th. All fireworks must cease by 10:00 p.m. each night. Police will respond to anyone violating the time ordinance.

On Thursday, July 4, 2019, there will be no city garbage collection. No make up day will be held for garbage pick up.

Mayor Berry advised over 364 teams have visited the Magee Sportsplex over the past months. More teams are expected in tournament play before the summer ends.

The board approved for David Dunn and Jimmy Zila to travel with the All Stars teams as tournament play begins.

Chief Randy Crawford advised the new CAD system at the police station is scheduled to go live and in operation Thursday, June 20, 2019.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned until July 2, 2019.
