Thursday, June 14, 2018, Anytime Tan located on Main Street in Mendenhall caught fire. The corner building suffered heavy damage. The origin of the fire is unknown at this time.
The Mendenhall Fire Department contacted the Magee Fire Department for back up. Often, older buildings in down towns do not have fire-walls.
The heat and humidity caused difficulty for all firemen. When the guys left the burning building, they stepped into a hot atmosphere that made breathing difficult. AMR remained on stand-by.
