At 12:04 p.m. MHP was advised of a 2 vehicle crash in Copiah County at the intersection of MS-27 and Dry Grove Rd involving a Dodge Journey and an 18-wheeler hauling cattle.
Preliminary reports indicate that the Dodge Journey was traveling westbound on Dry Grove Rd, when it crossed into the path of a northbound 18-wheeler on MS-27.  The driver and 2 occupants of the 18-wheeler were not injured.  The driver of the Dodge, died as a result of his injuries and the passenger was transported to UMMC with life-threatening injuries.  This crash is currently under investigation.
The driver has been identified as: John T. Walker 91, of Crystal Springs.
