The Scriptural passage for today is found in Colossians 3:12: “As God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” Again and again, the apostles and other gospel writers admonished the early Christians to exhibit Christ-like traits in their daily interaction with their brothers and sisters within the church fold. They were to conduct themselves in an exemplary manner, following Christ’s example during His earthly ministry. Is any less expected of us today.? With so much strife at every turn, let us strive to show our compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. “Let your light so shine before men….” Be a light for Jesus every day. Amen!
