(September 16, 1992 – August 7, 2022)

Erin Woods, 29 of Prentiss, Mississippi passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022, at Magee General Hospital in Magee, Mississippi. She was born Wednesday, September 16, 1992, in Prentiss, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home at 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Phalti Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Olive, Mississippi. Brother Billy Bridges will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Erin (Sweet Pea) will always be remembered by her friends and family as the “girl of 1,000 hobbies.” She protected and fought tooth and nail for her people. You could find her outside riding side by sides, motorcycles, or horses. Her smile could light up a room and could make anyone’s day brighter. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frankie Berry.

Survivors include her father, Richard Runnels; adopted father, Gene McQueen of Prentiss, MS; adopted mother, Dena Bates of Jackson, MS; one sister, Kayla Haley of Mendenhall, MS; boyfriend, Spencer Burroughs of Raymond, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Spencer Burroughs, Noah Christy, Blake Edwards, Steve McQueen, Elisha Morgan, and Jeremy Boyd.
