Emma Cockrell of Magee, MS will be a contestant in the state wide Jr. Miss Magnolia State Pageant finals at the Vicksburg City Auditorium in Vicksburg, Mississippi on November 18-20, 2016.
Over one hundred contestants in the Junior Miss, Miss Teen, Miss and Mrs. Magnolia State categories will be competing in the state finals to win one of the coveted titles of Miss Magnolia State. Contestants will compete in Interview, Casual Wear and Evening Gown competitions. The state winners will each receive $1,000 cash scholarship and a Caribbean cruise and serve as the state winner making appearances throughout Mississippi throughout her year of service. Over $8,000 in scholarship money will be made available through the state pageant.
Reigning title holders are Mattie Pettigo, Jr. Miss Magnolia State 2016 of Guntown, MS; Madeline Ezelle, Miss Teen Magnolia State 2016 of Morton, MS; Shelley Middleton, Miss Magnolia State 2016 of Brandon, MS; and Leslie Smith, Mrs. Magnolia State 2016 of Bude, MS.
