Emily Elizabeth McKissack, 26, of Mize, Mississippi, passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Tuesday, April 7, 2021, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She was born Wednesday, September 7, 1994, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Mize First Baptist Church in Mize, Mississippi.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 9, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Mize First Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Mize Cemetery. Bro. Tony Keys will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031

Emily was a member of Mize First Baptist Church.  She was a loving daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend.  She was a 2013 graduate of Mize High School.  She attended Jones College where she obtained an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts.  While attending Jones College she was a member of the Jones Choir.  She then continued her education at University of Southern Mississippi and William Carey University.  She enjoyed the outdoors, shopping, going to the movies, and spending time with her friends.  She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Milton Eugene and Willie Mae Kinkaid McKissack.

Survivors include her loving parents, Joe and Jane Lee McKissack of Mize; grandparents, Charles Ray and Virginia Sartin Lee of Mize; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Lee, Chris Lee, Zack Toney, Keaton Stamps, Mason Yeager, and Terry McKissack.

Honorary pallbearers will be RaeLyn Lee, Avianna Lee, Laura Alice Lee, Lydia Grace Lee, and Lucy Kate Lee.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made to the Mize First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 265, Mize, Mississippi 39116.
