Emily Chauvin Massey, age 88, passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021. She was born November 24, 1932, to Arthur Emile Chauvin Sr. and Blanche (Alwood) Chauvin.
Emily graduated from Ferriday High School in Louisiana and later married the love of her life, Charles Albert Massey. Together, they built a life of adventure and a family full of love as they followed their four boys around the state playing sports. Family meant everything to them. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist in Magee, MS. Her memory will always remain in the hearts of family and friends.
She is survived by four sons, Charles Albert Massey Jr., Brice Howard Massey, Bryan Chauvin Massey (Amy Jo), Brad Hudson Massey (Lindsey); brother, Larry Chauvin (Edith); sister, Betty Ann Roden; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Albert Massey Sr.; parents, Arthur and Blanche Chauvin; brothers, Arthur E. Chauvin Jr., Charles Hudson Chauvin; sisters, Helen Chauvin Warden, Ruth Chauvin Saxton and Blanche Chauvin Griffin.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at First United Methodist Church, Magee with Bro. Tommy Jennings officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Emily Massey to First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 661, Magee, MS 39111.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
