Edward Jackie Nichols, 84, of Raleigh, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born Sunday, January 1, 1933 in Simpson CO., MS.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 5, 2017 from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM at White Oak Baptist Church in White Oak.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 5, 2017 at 2:30 PM at White Oak Baptist Church in White Oak. Burial will follow in White Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Tyler Chavis will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601)849-5031
Edward Jackie Nichols was born at the Pine Grove Farm in Simpson County, he met Martha Ann Puckett while they both were playing high school basketball at the White Oak Gym. He served in the US Army during the Korean War upon returning from military service he worked as a machinist with Hughes Aircraft. He enjoyed wood working and his greatest joy was his family.
He is preceded in death by his: Wife – Martha Ann Nichols, Father – William Henry Edward Nichols, Mother – Bessie Louisa Overby Nichols, Three Brothers and Two Sisters.
Survivors include his Children, Carleen Nichols, Summit and Kyle Nichols (Leslie), Raleigh.
