Duie L. Knight, Sr., age 83, passed away on September 6, 2022, at his residence in Braxton, MS. He was born on July 28, 1939, to Warner T. and Katherine Polk Knight.
He served his country in the United States Air Force in his early years. He worked many years for Capital Welding Supply before retiring. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Braxton.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Mae Morgan Knight; sons, Duie L. Knight, Jr., and Joey L. Knight; daughter, Judy K. Moore; sister, Glenda Faye Shirley; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warner T. and Katherine Polk Knight; brothers, Huey L. Knight, W.T. Knight; sisters, Willie Lou Berry, Mary Sue Harrell and Latricia Ann Morgan.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS with the service at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Braxton City Cemetery with Bro. Timothy Carlisle officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
