Dorothy was a homemaker and loved taking care of her family and spending time with them.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey E. Mahaffey; son, Charles Keith Mahaffey; daughter, Dorothy Ann Russell Blakeney; sister, Lois Jones Blair and grandson, Joseph Blakeney.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, James Daniel Russell (Dora), David Ira Russell (Joann), Dewey Edward Mahaffey, Jr. (Donna); daughter, Patricia Denise Russell Jones (Terry); sisters, Elsie Jones Rucker, Lavelle Jones McLendon, Alma Jones Caston; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee. A graveside service will be held immediately after the visitation at the Magee City Cemetery in Magee. Interment will follow in the cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Magee.
