Mrs. Faye was a lifelong educator, serving and teaching in the Mt. Olive and Magee School districts for over 25 years. After retiring from teaching, she began a new calling, which was finding venues and promoting concerts for different country music entertainers. Her love of country music ran deep and it gave her great pleasure to help promote something she loved. In the Fall of 2023, she was featured in an article in the MPE Journal. The article titled “The Power of Influence,” was written by Amy Massey, the President of the MPE Board of Directors. The article spoke of the influence she had as an educator. Mrs. Faye loved to travel with her late husband, driving in their RV all over the U.S. She loved to work in her yard, her garden, and collect all types of memorabilia. She will be deeply missed by her family and many, many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carey Posey; father, Woodrow W. Rutland, Sr.; mother, Doris McNair Rutland.

Survivors include her brother, Woody Rutland, Jr.; nephew, Jim Rutland; great nephews, Tyler Rutland and Parker Rutland; great niece, Emma Rutland and host of many loving friends.

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.
