I’m just saying, David and Amy Johnson love Halloween. Really, that is am understatement!

In September, Amy and Dave began getting ready for October 31st! I believe the plans are in motion all year long. I’ve never seen anyone get into a holiday like David and Amy.

Decorations began at the driveway as those who enter pass under a mass of lighted spider webs. Those were the best spider webs I had ever seen. Amy actually told me the webs were purchased at Dirt Cheap in Magee.

Dave explained that as a child he was not allowed to trick or treat. We all know what we are not allowed to do becomes one of the main things we want to do. Dave decided early on he would make up for his years of no decorations with a house and yard full of decorations.

The pond has a boat with the figure of Charon transporting anyone who is wiling to take the ride across the Styx River.  A special area is reserved for parking which brings the guest by the werewolf, swinging lady, and cemetery which is complete with a huge “speaking” witch! The grave yard is complete with spooky lights and tomb stones.

Decorations don’t end outside! The rooms in the house are decorated with changing pictures, light show, and an eerie hall! Of course, the food follows the Halloween theme.

It’s fun to watch people with a passion for Halloween really get into the holiday. I’ve enjoyed all the decorations in Magee. A house on old 49 near the barber shop was filled with all sizes and shapes of spooky stuff.

Thanks for the tour, Amy, Dave, Emma, Evan, and Morgan—ya’ll are awesome!
