Planning for the real world is a large part of Disciple Now.  I was blessed to house 7 & 8th grade girls from my church January 17-19th.

Youth from all over Simpson County gathered at First Baptist Church Magee to worship together. Saturday night, we had approximately 400 young people! The large group sometimes worshiped together, ate together, studied the Bible together, and played together. Following the worship services, the youth disbursed to the different homes.

The County youth ate together Saturday for lunch. The Brotherhood of First Baptist Church fed the group.

Baptist churches within the county provided host homes for the youth.  The host homes allowed a gathering in smaller numbers to study the Bible, discuss problems, and praise the Lord.

Many of you know, I am a boy mama!  I raised three boys and housing girls was different for me.

But let me tell you, “My” girls were great!  They didn’t even leave my house in a mess!  Faith Kennedy served as the adult leader.  Kaylee McWilliams and Ariana Gaspar teen leaders.

Those in attendance:  Sarah White, Maddie Allen, Camden Allen, Paisley Magee, Scarlett May, and Paisley Hosey.

Thank you to the different churches that invested in the lives of the youth.   These gatherings serve as live changing events…what they learn at DNow stays with them for life.

I don’t know everyone’s name…but I think you will enjoy the pictures.

Some of the First Baptist youth and the BYW ladies! BYW fed the youth breakfast Sunday morning.

My Ollie Mayhall BYW of the First Baptist Church (!) fed the FBC group Sunday morning!
