Dewitt L. Fortenberry, 78, Mendenhall. MS
Dewitt L. Fortenberry passed from this life on Wednesday, August 10, 2016. He was born on October 18, 1937, to (late) Lem B. Fortenberry and (late) Anna Belle (Langston) Fortenberry.
Mr. Fortenberry was a graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi, where he also played football. After graduation, he began a career with Baker-Hughes International, from which he retired.
Mr. Fortenberry is survived by his son, Dewitt L. “Rusty” Fortenberry, Jr. (Ashley); and two grandchildren, Dewitt “Witt” Fortenberry III, and Alexander “Alex” Webb Fortenberry. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Garral (Burnham) Fortenberry; brothers, Lem B. Fortenberry, Jr. and Billy Webb Fortenberry.
Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Services will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Tutor Funeral Home Chapel in Mendenhall.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
