(April 5, 1952 – May 31, 2022)

Della Faye Brown, 70 of Magee, Mississippi passed away from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at her residence in Magee, Mississippi. She was born Saturday, April 5, 1952, in Magee, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home at 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 3:30 p.m. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, Mississippi. Brother Dean Cook will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. 601-849-5031

Mrs. Della was a member of Corinth Baptist Church of Magee, Mississippi.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.  She was a graduate of Magee High School and then continued her education at University of Southern Mississippi and William Carey University where she obtained her Master degree in teaching.  She taught for over thirty-five years at Magee High School.  She enjoyed teaching, shopping and cooking, spending time in the outdoors, and most of all spending time with her family.  She will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Ray Brown; mother, Ella Ree Craft Brown; sister, Caroline Ann Brown West; and nephew, Bill West.

Survivors include her three sons, Dale Brown (Erin) of Carriere, Mississippi; David Brown of Magee, Mississippi, and Rusty Brown (Athena) of Mendenhall, Mississippi;  grandchildren, Ray Brown of Carriere, Mississippi, Crystal Brown Seals (Jared) of Carriere, Mississippi, Hunter Brown (Brecca) of Magee, Mississippi, Rylee Brown of Magee, Mississippi, Addyson Brown of Magee, Mississippi, Mabrey Brown of Magee, Mississippi, Shiloh Brown of Mendenhall, Mississippi, Maelah Brown of Mendenhall, Mississippi and Bennett Brown of Mendenhall, Mississippi; great-grandchildren, Raven Seals of Carriere, Mississippi and Laine Brown of Magee, Mississippi; two sisters, Ella Ray Brown of Magee, Mississippi, and Patty Ree Brown of Magee, Mississippi; one nephew, Ray West (Margo) of Brandon, Mississippi; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be David Brown, Hunter Brown, Bennett Brown, Dale Brown, Ray Brown, and Josh Hanna. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Carmichael and Andrew Fortenberry.
