Delbert Hosemann administered the oath of office to 122 members of the Mississippi House of Representatives.  This was Hosemann’s last official act as Secretary of State.

Hosemann told the members that in the Capitol, there is a rotunda bridged by walkways to both chambers. This is a great reminder of how we are bound together in our work to make our State an even better place for our children and grandchildren.

It has been a privilege to serve you as your Secretary of State for the past 12 years. Thank you for your confidence in our Office, and I look forward to continuing to serve the public in a new capacity in the Lieutenant Governor’s Office.
