Early morning storms wrecked havoc on Highway 49 near Seminary. A tree fell on the road causing several vehicles to hit the tree causing their cars and loads damage. Debris from the
accidents was scattered over the highway causing both lanes of 49 to remain closed for several hours. Large trailers were brought in to removed a U-Haul and other items.
Both lanes of U. S. 49 at Seminary were blocked because of storm debris and downed trees.
A roof was blown off a home on Ray Harvey Road in Covington County.
The National Weather Service reported a tornado in the area between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM Monday.
