I’m just saying, Thursday night is the big night to hear the candidates…or not hear the candidates. I’m just saying, it is always interesting to me who has the “nerve” to show up!….Who has the “nerve” to put it out there!…and Who doesn’t show!

Thursday night, October 29th beginning at 6:00 PM at the Magee Community House will be the MageeNews.com sponsored debate. We don’t have too much screaming and hollering…but I have seen an election won and lost on the community house stage at a past debate.

Invitations have been issued to local and state officials to attend and inform the people of Simpson County why we should vote for them.

Lots Going On in Magee!

Lots Going On in Magee!

This year, Initiative 42 is a BIG topic. Audarshia Flagg will be speaking in support of initiative 42. Andy Gipson will speak against initiative 42…you can make your own mind up! And, this is a very important decision.

Personally, I can’t wait to see what supervisor candidates will show up. At the political rally held before the August 4th primary, only two candidates showed up to speak. There are 11 candidates in the running for 4 districts. Brian Kennedy won the District 3 position in the August 4th primary. Just saying, wonder how many of those 11 will show.

Probably one of the most interesting debates will be between Daniel Jones, Wilton McNair, and Matt Sullivan for District Attorney. I understand the Smith County debate got pretty heated!!! Be ready!

If you cannot attend the debate, MageeNews.com will be live streaming the debate as well as archiving for later viewing.

If you have a question for a candidate, questions can be submitted for approval at the debate or you may send now to Sue@mageenews.com

Just saying, politics are hot…and I wonder if anyone will get burned.

See you at the debate!

I would like to ask Mason how could you choose to vote against the Craft candidate? You stated you went there to get to know the candidates and you choose to vote against the only candidate there in that race in that district. I do not know him but I did watch the debate and my opinion is I would vote for for him because he told the truth! He did not bash any candidate maybe you should watch the debate again. I had my mind made up to vote for the Sullivan man until my husband showed me the online debate and I seriously was reconsidering changing my vote from Sullivan to Craft because my Aunt knows Sullivan wife, but after reading your comment it made me make the decision to go for Craft. The reason why is because YOU are bashing a candidate that stood up there alone without knowing the other candidates, why because Craft was the only one present! I strongly encourage the voters to cast their vote for Craft because he was the only candidate from my district that CARED enough to show up and honest enough to speak the truth.
