Death

By:  Rev. Richard Kight

Is there life for us after this life? In our devotion this week, we will find the answer to this question. Our devotion today comes from St. Mark 5:21: “But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me Selah.: This verse tells us that God Himself will give us power over the grave by the way of the cross! If we come to Jesus now, He will save us today! The word “Selah” means “amen.” Another strong verse that tells us there is victory over death is John 3:16. Eternal life is our just for the asking!

Live to please the Spirit

January 27, 2026

God is our refuge and strength in our time of trouble! We must be still and let God Show us He is God! God is the God of the rich and the God of the poor. Great and small. He is the Father of us all! He is the resurrection and the life! The same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead will raise us up form the grave as well! Our bodies must be presented to god hold and acceptable unto Him. After we repent and have that personal experience with Jesus, our name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. We then can live in Heaven, a perfect place with Jesus Christ, our King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Jesus wants to melt away that hard heart and give you a life worth living! What a day that will be when Jesus says “Enter into the hoys of the Lord.” To a child of God, death is not a big deal! Won’t you make this week be your week of victory?
