Low temperatures around or less than 10 degrees are likely with highs below freezing. Frostbite is possible in 30 minutes or less. Hypothermia is likely with prolonged outdoor exposure. Damage to exposed pipes and water main breaks are possible.
- Significant dangerous cold is expected for cities between Columbus, Yazoo City, Philadelphia, Meridian, Jackson, Vicksburg, Natchez, Brookhaven, and Magee. Low temperatures between 10-15 degrees are likely with highs below freezing. Wind chills between -10 to -1 degrees are possible. Frostbite and hypothermia are likely with prolonged outdoor exposure. Damage to exposed pipes is likely.
- Elevated dangerous cold is expected for cities between Laurel, Hattiesburg, and coastal counties. Lows in the teens are possible with highs near or below freezing.
