According to Animal Control Officer Benny Blair, citations will be issued if any animals in the City of Magee are unprotected or tethered during the extreme cold weather.

Fines will be administered by the City Judge.

Blair explained, “the first time I finds an animal not protected the citation will be given…no second chances…first time gets a citation.  Our City Judge Reggie Blackledge will set the fine.

The citation means a court appearance and fine.

I know !!! Why can’t this be made a statewide ordinance??? All dogs deserve this ! Somebody brought these animals home to love at one time ! What happened? They didn’t stay puppies, well duh ! I never say duh, but it fits ! Somehow, there has got to be some way to protect all of these beautiful animals that always give unconditional love ! The least we can do is return this love ❤️!!: I’m just so heartbroken that this isn’t taken seriously throughout this state ! It’s the people in these cities and counties, not the cities and counties. Js

This is a wonderful act of this community. It would be a glorious thing if every city would do this. People were talking about people in Fisher Arkansas having doggies in cages laying in their poop and no room to even turn around. Facebook people said the police did nothing about it when reported. SAD,SAD,SAD.
