Dallas Cook Jr. passed away at his residence on Saturday, June 1, 2024. He was born on December 28, 1954, to Hershel Cook Jr and Beulah Mae Williamson McCain.

Dallas was employed with Booth’s Discount Tire Center for many years where he was the manager. He loved his boss, Todd Booth, and told him so often. He loved his job and his customers too. He treated them with kindness and he made many lasting friendships through work. He was a jokester at heart. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing. To know Dallas, was to love him. He will be deeply missed by many.

He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Hamilton; brothers, Claude Edward Cook (Danita), and Jerry Cook and grandchild, Julianna Thames.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Glenda A. Cook; brother, Paul Junior Cook; sisters, Betty Thompson, Emma Jane Booth Rosenkrans and Patricia Mae McCain.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, June 4, from 9:00 until 10:00 am. Pastor Gary Wayne Phillips and Bro. Greg McCrory will officiate the service on Tuesday, June 4, at 10:00 am in the chapel of Tutor Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Magee City Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted with Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall.
