   Curtis Lavon Boyte, Jr., 55 of Mendenhall, MS passed away Friday, October 10, 2025 at the G.V. Sonny Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born on Wednesday, April 29, 1970, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

  Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at Main Street Baptist Church in Mendenhall. Burial will follow in Mendenhall Cemetery. Bro. Matt Armstrong and Bro. Kevin Walker will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401

 He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Boyte, Sr.; grandchild, Baby  McNair; brother, Baby Boyte; niece, Ashley Wilson;  and brother-in-law, Danny Wilson.

 Survivors include his wife, Etta Boyte;  daughter, Shelby McNair  (Zachary); grandchildren, Catherine McNair, Madeline McNair; mother, Martha Smith Boyte; brother, Sammy Boyte  (Mickie); sister, Mary Ann Bain; nephew, Christopher  Boyte  (Shannon );  nieces, Kayla  Everett  (Landon ), Natalie  Howell, Hayleigh  Cantrell, Valeigh  Bain;  brother-in-law’s, Steve  Howell  (Becky) and Reed  Anderson (Teri).
