It was a tough night on the field for the Simpson Academy Cougars as they were blanked 35–0 by a powerful Copiah Academy squad Friday evening.

The Colonels came ready for redemption after falling to Simpson in last year’s matchup, and this time they took control early and never looked back. Copiah’s offense moved the ball efficiently, while their defense kept the Cougars from gaining any real momentum.

The loss drops Simpson Academy to 3–4 on the season, while Copiah continues to roll, improving to 5–1 and extending their home winning streak to five straight games dating back to last year.
