Sidney M. Sullivan was born in Magee, MS, to Bilbo and Euna (Hall) Sullivan on October 6, 1932. He attended Mt. Olive High School, where he was well known for being an exceptional football player. On November 10, 1957, he found something he loved more than football: his wife, Ramona Boles. Ramona, who passed away in 2011, and his beloved son, Randy Gene Sullivan, who died earlier in 2025, have been waiting for him at the Jordan River. Sidney joined them on October 4, 2025.

He leaves behind his beloved children,  Pamela G Parr and William Parr (husband), Amandia F Carnahan and Ryan Carnahan (husband), and Terry Saltmarsh Sullivan (wife of Randy), grand children, Stephen Strickland, Chris Sullivan and Amanda Yates Sullivan (wife), Shawn Sullivan, Scarritt Sullivan Aderhold and Griffin Aderhold (husband), Hayden Sullivan and Erin (future wife), Summer Carnahan, and Keaton Carnahan,  along with numerous great grand children, his brother Terrell Sullivan, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sidney was known by many names:. S.M. to his friends, Dad to his children, and Papaw or Papa to his grandchildren. He lived his life for the Lord and his family. His passing will leave a hole in the lives of those left behind, but we know that he is racing to Ramona, in his new, eternal body, and hand in hand, they will walk through the pearly gates to sit at the feet of our Lord and Savior.
