Simpson Baseball Simpson played three games last week against the Jackson Victors, Tri-County Academy, and Florence High School.
Jackson Victors Simpson 15 Victors 3-Getting hits for Simpson were Hooks Harvey a homerun, two doubles, a single and 3 RBI’s, Mason Kennedy a double, two singles, and 3 RBI’s, Bowen Kelly two doubles and a RBI, Caleb Garner a single, Lawton Kennedy a single, Morgan Leonard a single and a RBI, Noah Magee a single, Andrew Smith a single and 2 RBI’s, and Noah Freeman a RBI. Pitching for Simpson was Mason Kennedy 7 innings with 6 strikeouts. The win improved Simpson’s record to 9-1 on the season. Tri-County Academy Simpson 4 Tri-County 1-Getting hits for Simpson were Brentley Berry a single and a RBI, Bowen Kelly a single, Noah Freeman a RBI, Caleb Garner a RBI, and Mason Kennedy a RBI. Pitching for Simpson were Caleb Garner 5 innings with 6 strikeouts, Andrew Smith 1.1 innings with 2 strikeouts, and Noah Magee 0.2 innings with 1 strikeout. The win improved Simpson’s record to 10-1 on the season.

Pitching for Simpson were John Cole Giordano 6 innings with 7 strikeouts and Andrew Smith 1 inning. The loss dropped Simpson’s record to 10-2 on the season. JV Games Simpson defeated the Jackson Victors 8-0 and Tri-County Academy 5-0.
The Cougars will travel to Hartfield Academy in Flowood on Thursday, March 28, they will play a varsity doubleheader starting at 4:00 p.m. Simpson will host St. Andrew’s High School on Saturday, March 30, with the JV starting at noon followed by the varsity.
Simpson will host the Jackson Victors on Monday, April 1, with the JV starting at 4:00 p.m. followed by the varsity. The Cougars will travel to East Rankin Academy in Pelahatchie on Tuesday, April 2, with the JV starting at 4:00 p.m. followed by the varsity.
