Corley was born on July 1, 2011 and lived every single day of her life to the fullest.  She was a 7th grade student at Pisgah High School, the most enthusiastic volleyball player on the Jr High team, a proud member of the Pisgah High School Dance Team, the absolute best gift receiver, and an amazing sister, daughter, granddaughter, cousin, and friend.

Corley made the world a happier place. Her enthusiasm for life was infectious. She was the loudest cheerleader on the sidelines of her brothers’ and cousins’ baseball games, making her a memorable fan even to those that didn’t know her. Through the years, Corley had an outlet for her animated personality as a member of Stage Kids (Rankin Performing Arts), Empower Performing Arts, and Central MS Dance. She loved making people happy through musical theatre. She lit up a room just by being in it. Corley was a star here on Earth.

She also adored animals with a passion (her own and everyone else’s!), but especially her dogs Oakley and Midas and her cats Mittens and Ralph.  She had an affection for all that glittered. She had a rhythm that everyone else wanted to dance to.  Corley was not just bubbly—she overflowed with love, laughter, and light-heartedness.

Corley Ann will be forever loved by those here on earth—her parents Chase and Jodi Grayson and Carmen and Carr Stringer; her brothers Sam Grayson, Reed (Alex Snowdy) and Ross (Macy Belle Jones) Rankin, and her sister Ramona Carr; her grandparents Glenda Grayson (Hattiesburg), Corley and Robin Morse (Hattiesburg), Cindy Sullivan (Mendenhall) and Robert and Courtenay Stringer (Forest); her great-grandparents Charles and Su Morris (Madison): her loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, and her many, many friends.

Corley was reunited in Heaven with her grandfathers, Larry Grayson (Pop) and Tommy Sullivan (Papaw), and her uncle Corley “Trey” Morse III.

On January 5, 2024, Corley left her earthly body here, but we are able to keep a multitude of her memories—every laugh, every shrill scream of joy, and every hug given with every ounce of love she had.  We will look back at her 12 years with us and smile because Corley Ann was joy, pure and unrestrained—and we are so thankful that she shared her joy with everyone she encountered.

If you would like to make a donation in Corley Ann’s honor, the family asks that you do this to the Pisgah Dragon Club: Volleyball and Dance Team. Corley found her people when she transferred to Pisgah Elementary as a third grader. She loved being a Pisgah Dragon so much that it would honor her memory by honoring her school. You can do this by mailing a check to Pisgah High School (c/o Lauren White), 115 Tori Bowie Lane, Brandon, MS 39047.  Please write Corley Ann Grayson as the memo.

A Celebration of Corley Ann’s Life will be held 3:30pm Thursday, at Pinelake Church in the Venue, 6071 Highway 25, Brandon, MS 39047 with visitation starting at 2:00pm.  Burial will follow at Lakeland Place Memorial Park, across from Pinelake, at 6004 Highway 25, Brandon, MS 39047.
