WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College President Dr. Dewayne Middleton receives a ceremonial check in the amount of $225,000 from District 2 Representative Bennie G. Thompson as part of the 2025–2026 Community Project Special Appropriations.

The federal funding will support facility improvements and community revitalization initiatives at the college, strengthening infrastructure and expanding opportunities for students and residents throughout the region.

Dr. Middleton expressed appreciation for the federal support, noting that the funds will play a critical role in advancing campus improvements and community-focused projects designed to foster economic development and educational excellence.

 On hand for the presentation were (l-r) Charles Taylor, Dr. Vonda Reeves, Dr. LeMia Jenkins, Dr. Middleton, Congressman Bennie Thompson, and Brian Washington.
