JACKSON, Mississippi – The Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) has awarded 26 Copiah-Lincoln Community College student-athletes Distinguished All-State and Academic All-State honors for their performance in the classroom during 2015-2016.
Nine athletes have been named MACJC Distinguished All-State for having a GPA of 3.80 or higher. Recipients include Kelley Allen of Brandon (basketball), Lauren Brashier of Laurel (softball), Greta Carley of Columbia (softball), Braxton Hinton of Brookhaven (tennis), Brandi McInnis of Wesson (tennis), Si’Edriq Middleton of Meadville (soccer), Greg Nickles of Pelahatchie (football), Lee Smith of Hattiesburg (baseball), and Madison Warren of Brookhaven (tennis).
Academic All-State honors are awarded to athletes with a GPA of 3.25-3.79. Recipients include Mattie Avants of Bogue Chitto (softball), Brittany Barbay of Zachary, LA (softball), Jackson Cole of Bogue Chitto (baseball), Kamry Creel of McComb (softball), Austin Douglas of Mount Olive (baseball), Joseph Este of Harvey, LA (football), Tytiana Hall of Crystal Springs (basketball), Tanner Jones of Brandon (baseball), Jeremy Moore of Florence (baseball), Drake Nelson of Monticello (tennis), Marico Paige of Walls (football), Will Pennington of Summit (tennis), Chelsey Pruitt of Moss Point (soccer), Paxton Sims of Ackerman (football), Kaitlyn Taylor of Crystal Springs (softball), Jackson Twitty of Ridgeland (baseball), and Zachary Williams of Lena (football).
