Simpson JV wins 4-1 over Wayne Academy Jaguars while Simpson Varsity ends their game with a double play win 2-1.

Simpson Academy Varsity defeated Wayne Academy in a district game in a close defensive battle.  Nicholas Dukes pitched 5 innings giving up just one run.  Matt Harrison finished the game allowing no runs.  Scoring from SCA came late in the game after down 0-1 in the fourth inning when Matt Harrison got a great base hit then with 2 outs Riley Runnels hits a base hit to score Matt.   In the sixth inning Sam McWilliams got a lead off hit and advanced to 3rd scoring on a passed ball.  Awesome finish with Wayne having a man on first and third when they tried a running bunt with 1 out.  Matt made an outstanding play to catch and make the 3rd out at first for the win 2-1 Simpson.
